Phone lines. One of the first things connected when establishing a business, often one of the last things regularly reviewed to ensure ongoing services efficiency and effectiveness.
At Compass we have the capability to deliver a full range of competitively priced business lines fully tailored to suit the size of your operation, whether your need is for analogue lines, ISDN, Centrex or integrated VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) lines.
A full range of business
telephone line options
When switching to telephone lines supplied by Compass there
is no need to change your phone number.
We are able to offer a full range of business lines and options,
including:
Analogue Lines
Analogue lines are basic telephone lines. They can be arranged as
individual phone lines or grouped together in a hunt group for connection
to a customer's phone system.
Analogue phone lines can also be configured with support for Direct
Dial In (DDI), voicemail and/or Never Busy Fax.
Feature Lines
Feature lines are analogue lines which support enhanced
network features such as:
• Call Waiting
• Call Forwarding
• Group Pick Up
• Call Park
• Speed Dial
• Redial
• Three-Way Conferencing
ISDN
ISDN lines are a high-speed digital service supporting
voice, data and video services through a single digital connection.
ISDN can be delivered in one of two methods.
• Basic Rate ISDN delivers 2 x 64 kbps digital channels through
a single connection
• Primary Rate ISDN delivers up to 30 x 64 kbps digital channels
through a single connection.
ISDN lines support a number of enhanced features including Direct
Dial In (DDI), Caller Display and Gateway for free local calls between
lines in the same group.
Gateway (Centrex™)
Gateway provides features of a PABX phone system without
having to buy or rent a phone system. Gateway is a totally managed
solution that connects all your phones directly to the phone network.
Gateway replaces the need for a PABX system and offers the flexibility
of adding or removing lines as your business needs change, and allows
you to be more accessible to your customers with Direct Dial In
(DDI). Gateway is available on both analogue and ISDN lines.
Redirection Service
Redirection service is a permanent call direction service diverting
calls made to a customer's number to another number. This service
allows the customer to appear to have a local presence even though
they maybe situated elsewhere.
VoIP
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is using your phone over a secure data connection. A major benefit of VoIP is the significant reductions it can drive into your total communication costs, eliminating the need for regular phone lines by utilising your data network for voice and data communications.
Compass uses its own New Zealand wide network to provide secure transmission of all your voice and data traffic. VoIP is the basis for Compass' great value business communications package called Compass SmartOffice.
