Field Technician – Compass Wireless
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Field Technician, this position is based in Grafton, Auckland and is available for an immediate start.
You must have a proven track record in antenna installation and maintenance on buildings, good communication skills, be neatly presented, have a current NZ driver’s license and a desire to work hard and learn fast!
This work will mostly be external to the office environment and will be site specific. It will involve data and voice cabling, rigging, equipment installations and removals, configuration of wireless internet and telephony equipment as well as on-site troubleshooting. The position will mostly be at customer premises however also at Base Station sites. Confidence to work at heights is necessary. Rigging certification and PABX knowledge is an advantage.
An understanding of IT, Telecommunications or ISP environments will be of benefit to you.
Relevant qualifications and experience with electrical and earthing practices is also desirable.
You will need the ability to work independently and organise your workload. Installation equipment will be provided. Some over-time may be required. Only New Zealand residents or those with legal status to work in New Zealand should apply & will be considered – This job is advertised in Seek.

Systems Engineer – Compass Managed Services
A position is available for a Systems Engineer in the ZeroOne Managed Services Team (Auckland based)

To fill this role we need a confident, positive, self-motivated and intuitive communicator to provide technical support to our customers (both Internal and External).

You will be responsible for monitoring and supporting our customers’ ICT solutions and resolving support requests with team members from the Compass Customer care Technical team, Compass Network Services group and ZeroOne web hosting/development teams. You will work closely with your peers in the Managed Services team and report to the team leader of the Infrastructure and Platforms team. As part of the role - you will have the ability to develop your current skills into areas of specialization for the platforms and services we operate.

To be successful, you will be skilled with any of the following certifications: Network+, CCNA, MCSE, MCITP, MCP or similar. Alternatively, relevant industry experience in a Telco, IT or ISP environment is an advantage.
